See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Taken over by restaurateur Raymond Chu in December 2010, the former White House pub now serves an incredible fusion of Asian and English food in its restaurant. Built as a toll house for the western approach to Oxford in 1850 it became a pub (the Old Gate House) in 1868 when the toll house moved to the junction with Binsey Lane. The bar no longer serves real ale but has beer in bottles and from keg. There is an outdoor seating area at the rear.
