See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Former 17th century coaching inn with early Georgian front. 'Long wooden floored pub' with choice of bars on the left or right as you enter. Dried hops hang down from the ceiling. Opens out into a larger room complete with sofas further back. Beer garden beyond. Previously the Abingdon Arms, now renamed after Thame's very own 18th Century undefeated boxing champion of England; sporting prints adorn the walls. Sausages (during the week) and monkey nuts on the bar to nibble on while enjoying a drink. Meals also come highly commended (Oxfordshire Restaurant Award 'Traditional Pub Restaurant' of the year 2013). Always serves an XT, Greene King and Purity with a changing guest line
