First recorded as a pub in 1880, the Swan, and changed to current sporting themed name in the 1980s. The Edwardian frontage is largely unchanged. It closed suddenly in December 2014 'to make the premises safe' and re-opened May 2018 as a Charles Wells' managed pub. Refurbished and opened up inside. Freehold for sale March 2023. Now (March 2024) suddenly taken on by the Green Box Food Co. "Working towards net zero using plant-based goods" so has an entirely vegan menu - pizzas and small plates so far. Has Brewpoint beer on tap and some Oxford Brewery beer in polypins.
