Modern and tidy suburban corner pub built around 1930 on the site of a previous pub of the same name which had been built by Morrells in 1861. It is on two levels with a garden to the rear, and with a nice log fire for colder days. The pub is at the heart of Headington shops, on the main London Road, round the corner from the Shark, and opposite the site of the old football ground. Refurbished March 2026.
