Opened in 1758 and at that time one of ten pubs in the village which was on the main road from Oxford to London. Owned by Halls Brewery from the 1860s. The pub retains three separate areas, but has a modern interior with bright décor, save for one room which retains some old panelling. Has a patio garden to the front. The Loose Cannon beers advertised on the beer engines are actually keg, served using 10g mini barrels similar to iKegger, stored under the bar.
