It would be wrong to suggest that this 17th century thatched pub is just about food, despite the fact that is has a Michelin Star to its name. Mike and Imogen North took over here in 2006, and have blended the insatiable demand for Mike’s food with maintaining a village pub. As a result, there is still a small bar area, and three real ales are sold, usually one from Vale and two other more well-known brands. The back of the bar is an old fireplace, so staff have to be trained to duck every time they access the till! There is a large garden, with an Aunt Sally throw and at the front is a duck pond, which adds to the picture postcard image. There is one bus a week - Friday morning. Reservation recommended if you want to eat (and deep pockets.)
