Deceptively large, smart casual dining pub close to the River Thames, less than a minute walk over the bridge from Henley.

After a significant refurbishment the pub reopened in June 2025 under new management.

It has a central bar area, with multiple rooms around it, all with new decor and smartly furnished. The rooms in the older part of the pub are more intimate, cozy and with wood panelling and include a private dining room. Those toward the rear are lighter and more airy, but overall there is comfortable feel to the pub. A large contemporary conservatory provides further space for dining. A large courtyard garden also provides for alfresco drinking and dining, and borders on to the Henley Cricket Club ground for those keen to take in a game during the summer months.

It has a wide ranging modern contemporary menu, using seasonal ingredients wherever possible, with everything freshly prepared. Steak is a speciality, and the Sunday roast carvery is very popular. However, snacks, including sandwiches, are also available.
