The new owners are planning major refurbishments through 2023, including adding a further four new letting rooms, an extended kitchen and a major internal revamp. Work is under way (reported on 13 October 2023) with the restaurant area and Room 101 open and served from the garden bar and kitchen. Until the refurbishment is completed (previously planned for 18 December 2023, but is now extended to at least March 2024 [updated 21 December 2023]) the real ale offering has been removed.

Re-opened after the acquisition by two locals on 16 December 2022 (after being closed since 1 August 2022) this remains a popular pub located at the heart of this riverside village. Convenient for the Henley Regatta Railway Line and with four en-suite rooms, an ideal stop for walkers on the Thames Path. The wood panelled bar features many rowing artefacts and rugby memorabilia from national and local teams, in particular the pub's own team - The Hounds! The enclosed garden has a children's play area and hosts regular summer barbecues. Built in 1936 and was originally a Wethered's pub. Won the pub of the year category in the 2020 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
