Multi award-winning restaurant run by Paul Clerehugh since 1989. No bar or drinking area, one real ale is available by gravity dispense from the cellar - usually Brakspear Gravity, but occasionally Oxford Gold instead. Built in 1642, tucked away to the north of the village down a narrow lane, it operated as a smallholding selling locally produced ale from its tiny cellar. Look out for the Midsomer red plaque. Music nights featuring well-known acts are held regularly in a heated marquee connected to the pub.
