An 18th-century coaching inn, situated at the bottom of the high street, close to the river Thames. The drinking area at the front of the building is light and airy with bay windows overlooking the memorial gardens and there are two open fires. The two handpumps are located just to the right of the pillar that sits in the middle of the bar. To the rear of the building tables are laid for dining and there is also a courtyard for alfresco drinking and dining; the meat is sourced from a local butcher in Goring, and the fish from Brixham harbour. Breakfasts are served in the morning and alcoholic drinks are available from 12 noon onwards. 13 en-suite bedrooms are available. Cars may be parked in nearby Manor Road or in The Wheel Orchard car park (pay and display during the day).
There is a one step access at side closest to the railway station for the less-abled.
