The following was posted on their Facebook page on 27 March 2024: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We would just like to express our sincere gratitude to all those that have supported us since we started to run the Six Bells. We've had a blast and we hope you have enjoyed the events we put on.

Thanks to all those that managed to turn out for our last night. We were overwhelmed by your support and we were completely surprised and thankful for the gifts and cards you bought us.

We hope someone comes in to run the Bells pretty soon, because it is a wonderful pub in the heart of a caring and supportive community.

We have met some lovely people, and made some wonderful friends in the short time we have been here. We will miss you all, but we will be back for sure.

Love to you all Gary, Sam & Family xxxx - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Popular Grade II-listed village inn built as two cottages in about 1550 with a steeply raked thatched roof that extends past the first-floor windows. Overlooks the cricket green in this quintessential English village much featured in Midsomer Murders and many other films.

There are separate dining and sitting areas opening off the main bar, a large patio with tables in the front and garden at the back.

The food offering is filled baguettes and homemade soup with a baguette Wed-Sat lunchtimes; street food vans are present in front of the pub Fri & Sat evenings (and occasional Thu evenings) and Sun lunchtimes.
