A thatched-roofed village pub sat beside the green in a delightful, quiet village not far from the M40; dating from the late seventeenth century and retaining a lot of its traditional charm.
Upon entering there are bar areas to the right and left. The former is more of a drinking bar, whilst the latter has an inglenook fireplace and is also set up for diners. This room then leads onto another dining room, which then opens out onto the extensive terraced garden area. The two real ales are often sourced from local breweries such as Rebellion and Oxford Brewery
Believed to have reopened on Wednesday 17 May 2023 with new tenants having been closed temporarily on Thursday 27 April 2023. External works to enlarge the garden area were underway during July 2025.
