Reopened 8 November 2013 as a community run pub after being listed as an asset of community value. Dark oak beams, wooden panelling and exposed brick with framed hunting and fishing prints give the pub a traditional feel. This is offset by the well lit, brand new pale wood bar with four handpumps for local ales. Loyalty card scheme for pints of beer. Monthly quiz and food themed events. A log fire is usually burning during winter months. Check the community noticeboard just outside the entance for local events. Bed and Breakfast accommodation is available. Kain, Kirsty and the team took over in June 2021.
