A friendly local where a warm welcome is assured. The main bar has three hand-pumps, with Abbot being a permanent fixture and two changing beers supplied from the Greene King range. Food is available all day every day. Events include; quiz is held every Thursday evening, there is live music on some Friday or Saturday nights, mother and baby group on Thursday lunchtime. Dominoes and crib are played regularly by sections of the locals and charity events support MacMillan Nurses. On both sides of the entrance are raised ‘eating’ areas, one with French doors leading to the small patio area to the front. To the left of the main bar is a large area with another smaller bar, four Sports TVs, pool table, three gaming machines and a dart board.
