The locals refer to this as "the only pub in Newell Green!" and report that this late 18th Century Greene King pub has been transformed since the new managers took over in 2025. There are three hand pumps. Two are for ales distributed by Greene King and the third is free of tie. Food is traditional English Pub food. It is a cosy, friendly, community local pub that welcomes families, children and dogs. The surrounding area has attractive walking trails and is a popular hotspot for dog walkers. Inside, patrons can take advantage of a real log fire during winter months and the large beer garden in summer.
