See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

18th-century pub in an idyllic setting by the River Windrush. It was owned by the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire, and Mitford family photographs adorn the walls. It was used as a location used in series two of Downton Abbey. There is a small bar area furnished with settees and benches where three handpumps dispense one regular and two changing ales. There are also two dining areas serving quality contemporary food.
