Re-opened in 2019 under genial host Gary Ward in an attractive market place location, it is now established as the premier village pub. The menu majors on plant based dishes and fish and chips. The nearby castle grounds and surrounding countryside, with extensive views across the River Cherwell valley, make it an attractive stop on either a country walk, when travelling by bus between Banbury and Oxford or when exploring the surrounding local ironstone villages of Banburyshire.
