See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Traditional 18th-century thatched village inn, originally a house dating from 1772, now with a front bar and dining room, inglenook fireplace, back bar, billiards room, and a patio and large garden to the rear for alfresco dining and drinking. A genuine free house serving three ales, one regular and two changing (normally at least one of which is from a local brewer) plus a real cider. There is a good food offering with as much as possible locally sourced, and freshly prepared by the chef, who is the owner's son. Families, walkers and four-legged friends welcome.
