See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

The Black Horse is in the centre of the village of Fulmer and has been extended over the years from early 17th century cottages, which housed local craftsmen building the Church of St James next door. Therefore, the main building is a warren of small rooms, which have altered little over the years. These areas give the pub a really cosy feel and welcome the drinker. There is a separate restaurant area, although food can be can be served in the bar areas. Breakfast is served from 8.30 to 11am Monday to Saturday. The pub has Free Wi-Fi, and is dog friendly. A large garden to the rear has a covered smoking area. In March 2020, they created a market outside The Black Horse in response to the Coronavirus pandemic, to provide a lifeline for the local community and to help them stay afloat until a degree of normalcy returned. 8 months later, officially the Black Horse opened it's doors to The Farm Shop Fulmer in the renovated barn to the rear of the pub, offering a range of fresh, quality and local produce (from fruit & veg, to meat and dairy, bread, pastries and so much more). The Farm Shop Fulmer is officially here to stay!
