See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

A large and popular pub on the main Oxford road. Several screens showing sport and another outside so hard to avoid. The building, a private house until 1960, was from 1933 to 1938 the home of Cecil Kimber, the founder of the MG Motor Company. MG cars were made in Abingdon from 1929 to 1980. The pub has a grassed area with tables to the front fenced off from the road and a covered area with lights. Under new management from June 2023 and refurbished October.
