See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

There has been an alehouse here from the late 17th century (the Rose or Rose & Crown) and probably earlier. This is now a massive open-plan restaurant/pub on the banks of the Thames. The name was changed after a very substantial rebuilding. Weeping willows line the riverbank and provide shade to some of the tables in the huge garden, which can seat over 100 people. A young Raymond Blanc started his impressive career here in the 1970s and married the owner's daughter. Serves breakfast from 7am to 11.30 (8am at weekends). Refurbished May 2022.
