See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

A brew pub from 1974 until 1982, this early 17th century, 2 storey, thatched pub was put on the market in 2013 by controversial owner Gerry Stonhill who ran it in his own idisyncratic style and was prosecuted in 2008 for flouting the smoking ban. Now owned by 'dynamic boutique hotel brand Artist Residence' the pub has a restaurant and boutique bedrooms but is still aiming to be a proper cosy pub, with real ale and a menu of hearty pub classics. Originally called Ivy Farm the pub was renamed the Mason Arms Inn in 1875 when the village was bought by James Mason of Eynsham Hall. Not to be confused with the Masons Arms in North Leigh.
